Nine years ago, my home was Portland, Oregon, and now, it’s here in Virginia. Southern Virginia University was the perfect place to prepare for my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Veracruz, Mexico. While earning a dual bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Business Management & Administration, I competed for the Knights tennis team, participated in several honors societies, and married the love of my life! When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me at the tennis (or pickleball) court, finding the next great food stop, or keeping up with my wife and our dog Apollo.

Growing up in Virginia Beach all I knew was the ocean and bigger city life! I left home and attended Southern Virginia University to earn my bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Leadership. I always pictured myself returning back to the beach after completing my degree but quickly fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountain scenery. While on campus I met and married my husband, established lifelong friendships, and found new hobbies within this beautiful region! I now enjoy hiking trails with my husband, training for upcoming half marathons, and visiting my family scattered throughout Virginia. I look forward to helping assist in your new journey to be found at Southern Virginia University!

I am a native Virginian who loves living in the Shenandoah Valley and working at Southern Virginia University. I joined the University to help coach men’s lacrosse and fell in love with sharing the message of this amazing school with prospective students. Now in admissions, I have the opportunity to share the benefits of this University on a much larger scale. I’m also a proud parent of Knights—my three oldest children attend Southern Virginia and are having fantastic experiences studying in the classroom and competing in NCAA DIII athletics. Our entire family is passionate about athletics, but we also love trips to the beach and playing Nerf capture the flag. I look forward to working together!

There are few things I love as much as my family, the Atlanta Braves, and a good chocolate chip cookie. While serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Maryland Baltimore Mission, I fell in love with the East Coast. Whether it’s the proximity to amazing cities, the beautiful green outdoors, or the coastal beaches, this part of the country has something for everyone. But, the most special part of this country, Southern Virginia University. I came to campus as a transfer student and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. When I needed it most, Southern Virginia University became my home. I am thrilled to get to know you during your admissions process, and hope to welcome you to your home away from home!

I believe in the three M’s: motorcycles, movies, and mountains! When I’m not riding my motorcycle around the Blue Ridge, you can find me watching movies with my friends. I was born and raised in Utah and served a mission in Veracruz, México. While attending Southern Virginia University I studied Business and Spanish, played on the rugby team, and participated in student government. I fell in love with this place and I’m so happy that I now get to call it my home. Southern Virginia is full of opportunities and has a unique family feeling about it. I am excited to help you learn about this amazing school and welcome you to the family!

There are three things that I love in life: hanging out with my family, playing sports and throwing it back to anything 90’s. Born in Brazil and raised in California, my family and I recently moved to Virginia so my wife could finish her education at Southern Virginia University. While the cross-country move was initially hard, we have fallen in love with the Shenandoah Valley. Now, Southern Virginia University has become our home away from home. I’m excited to be a part of this admissions process and I look forward to working with you!

I used to tell people my claims to fame were playing on two National Championship football teams at the University of Oklahoma and serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South America. But now my claim to fame, together with my wife, is having raised five good children; four of whom have graduated from Southern Virginia. I grew up playing in rock bands, playing sports, and spending time with my family. My favorite band right now is Imagine Dragons.
