Financial Aid

We help make our education as affordable as possible for anyone who wants to be a Knight.

You can afford Southern Virginia University

Already at less than half the average cost of private colleges, Southern Virginia University also awards more than $5 million in academic, talent, or need-based scholarships to students annually.

Our friendly Financial Aid Team will work with you one-on-one to help you navigate your financial options and maximize the aid you receive. Through their help, 95% of our students have received some form of scholarship or aid annually.

Determining Need

To determine how much aid you qualify for, all prospective students must complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA). With the information collected by the FAFSA, you will be able to see what federal and institutional grants as well as federal loans that are available for your use. Institutional scholarships are determined by the requirements outlined on our New tabscholarships page.
