2. Submit or Waive the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a standard application that U.S. colleges use to determine eligibility for aid. By filling out the FAFSA using our unique school code: 003738, you are providing some standard information for our Financial Aid Team to see which federal grants and loans, as well as which need-based grants from Southern Virginia University, you may qualify for. The application typically takes less than an hour to complete.
We recommend you complete the FAFSA as soon as possible as some grants are on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, the earlier you complete your FAFSA and make your enrollment deposit, the earlier you could begin an New tabinterest-free payment plan for the lowest monthly payment option available.
If you choose not to complete the FAFSA, email your decision to waive it to financial.aid@svu.edu. - Open dropdown

Once you have received your letter and email, you can log into your Financial Aid Portal (login with your username [firstname.lastname] and your SVU email password) and accept or decline your financial aid options.
