Ellie Patterson

My journey to Southern Virginia began with a recruiting visit that led me to take a leap of faith and move across the country. From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt something different, a sense of belonging, purpose, and home that I couldn’t quite explain. That feeling stayed with me throughout my four years as a student and ultimately made Southern Virginia one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

As a student-athlete, I spent four years competing on the women’s lacrosse team while earning my degree in Family and Human Development with a concentration in Coaching. Along the way, I built lifelong friendships, grew my faith in Jesus Christ, and developed as a leader.

Now, as an Admissions Counselor at Southern Virginia University, I am excited to help students navigate their own college journey and discover the same special feeling that made Southern Virginia feel like home to me. I am so excited to work with you!!
