1. Submit or Waive the FAFSA

FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal aid as well as institutional need-based aid.

Some students who do not qualify for federal aid may qualify for other need-based aid. Please speak with your Financial Aid Specialist if you have questions about your FAFSA.

2. Review Your Financial Aid Package

Access your Financial Aid Portal (Login with your username [firstname.lastname] and your SVU email password.)

Review aid and ensure the dropdown displays the correct year. Verify that all aid is either Accepted or Declined.

3. Complete Required Financial Aid Documents

Within your Financial Aid Portal, select the documents option (folder symbol), and click on the document names for links and instructions if any documents are missing.

4. Finalize Payments

The fall payment arrangements deadline is August 1st. Go to mySVU, login with your email credentials, and click on ‘Finances’ to pay your balance in full or set up an interest-free payment plan
