Administrative Assistant for the Office of Academics

Southern Virginia University is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Provost’s Office to help manage the academic operations of our growing educational institution. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems, Qualtrics, Excel, and other software
  • Experience in managing tasks, workflow, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well with others and independently
  • Ability to articulate academic processes and assessment goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education or other related field
  • Experience in a Higher Education setting

    Responsibilities

  • Organize and articulate curriculum modifications
  • Collect and distribute minutes and other documents for Academic Affairs Council
  • Assist with accreditation and assessment
  • Oversee Learning Management Systems, academic software, and teaching technology
  • Write bulletins, emails, and other communications to faculty/students
  • Teach courses (based on qualifications)
  • Coordinate campus faculty visits
  • Interact with faculty, students, and administrators in a friendly, professional manner
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Compensation

    • Starting salary range between $40,000–55,000, depending on experience and qualifications
