Braver Angels Debate

SVU’s Honors Program will host the next intercollegiate debate among students from SVU, Virginia Military Institute, Washington and Lee University, and Mountain Gateway Community College:

“Should Americans Receive Universal Basic Income?”

Students attending the debate receive $25 if they complete the pre-debate and post-debate surveys. Pre-debate survey:

Doug Sprei, who leads Braver Angels’ College Debate Program, will chair the debate. David Blankenhorn, founder of Braver Angels, will attend the debate and speak at SVU’s forum the next day. All SVU students, faculty, and staff are invited.
