Ike Beck

I recently joined Southern Virginia University as an Admissions Counselor, where I’m excited to support prospective students through the admissions process. Prior to this role, I coached the throwing events for the university’s track and field team.

Originally from Richfield, Utah, I value community and education, and I’m eager to contribute to the growth of students at SVU. I also had the experience of serving an LDS mission in Cape Town, South Africa. I enjoy spending time with my family, including my wife, who is the university’s dance coach, and our two boys, Hank and Marty, with another child on the way. We also share our home with two dogs, Doc and Savvy.

In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, and fishing, relishing anything outdoors. I have come to love Buena Vista and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and I look forward to helping students find their path through SVU as they discover their potential!
