Hyrum Arnesen
Visiting Assistant Professor of Music
“I believe that the primary purpose for teaching and learning music is to cultivate the whole person. Music study stimulates intellectual curiosity and creative thought, fosters empathy and emotional resilience, and cultivates attributes such as diligence, patience, determination, courage, and compassion. My goal as a music teacher is to facilitate this personal growth and enable students to be lifelong musicians, music advocates, and positive members of their community.”
