Attend an Open House
Throughout the year, we host on- and off-campus open houses where you will have the opportunity to get to know current Southern Virginia students, meet our professors, staff and coaches, attend an athletic event or performing arts production and more. To make it even easier, we'll reimburse up to $250 of your travel costs.
Schedule an Individual Tour
If you can't make it to an open house, you can plan a campus visit and receive a guided tour of campus, see residence halls, eat in the dining hall, sit in on a class, or meet with professors or coaches. Please let us know if there is any specific program you are interested in or any specific class you would like to sit in on.

Travel Reimbursement for Transfer Students
If you visit campus as a transfer student, Southern Virginia will reimburse up to $250 of your travel expenses, meals not included. Incoming freshman not currently enrolled in another college or university are only eligible for a travel reimbursement if they attend an open house.
