Hannah Husted

I am originally from Portsmouth, Virginia surrounded by the beach and bustling city scapes. Having had the privilege of experiencing a melting pot of cultures and different languages through my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I learned the importance of interpersonal connection through love and humility. I served in McAllen, Texas and Viña Del Mar, Chile, becoming proficient in the Spanish language. I later went on to graduate with my Bachelor’s of the Arts in Spanish with Magna Cum Laude. It was one of the most rewarding endeavors I finished and fell in love with academic journeys in the process!

Because each student deserves a solid support system, student success coaching is my new journey. I have a considerable background in advocacy and case management through years of being a Resident Advisor for Southern Virginia University, Bilingual Resident services doing nonprofit work, and several leadership positions such as Honor Student Council (Vice President), Sigma Delta Pi (Vice President), and the Pre-Law Club (Vice President), and as the Historian in the Student Government Association at Southern Virginia University. During my service in those positions my empathy, critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills were honed and refined in my coaching toolbox.
