Writing Adjunct/Part-Time

Southern Virginia University invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach general education courses in writing. Courses may include Writing: 115/116, a stretch version of the University’s College Composition course; Writing 120: College Composition; and Writing 320: Advanced Writing.
Responsibilities
- Teach general education courses in writing
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree in English or a closely related field
- Experience in teaching college writing
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD in English or closely related field
- Evidence of teaching excellence
