Lab Manager
Part-time
Responsibilities
- A science class with a lab is a requirement for all students at SVU. The maintenance and safety of labs are needed to manage equipment, store and handle chemicals, manage waste/hazard disposal, and provide a safe environment for faculty and students.
- Responsibilities will also include helping with laboratory preparation and clean up, such as mixing solutions, preparing equipment, ordering supplies, and otherwise working with faculty and other university staff to ensure labs have everything needed for safe instruction.
Minimum Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a science field such as Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling and maintaining proper disposal of chemicals, microbial cultures, waste, and consumable products is preferred.
