As an alumna of Southern Virginia University, I have experienced the magic of learning from professors who love their subjects and love their students, and I strive to impart that same magic to my students. In my classroom, I challenge learners to think beyond the essay by applying critical analysis, rhetorical communication, and creativity to every aspect of their lives. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing the light in my students’ eyes when they realize that their writing can be a powerful force for good in this world.
