Southern Virginia University is seeking to hire a full-time Desktop Support Technician II, to help manage desktop/laptop security, technology systems and software needs of this rapidly growing educational institution.   • Key Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Workstation Skills, Tier II or III
  • Knowledge of JAMF and SSCM for application packaging
  • Create Workstation images for Windows and Mac OS operating systems
  • Manages desktop/laptop security, technology systems and software in support of faculty/staff and students
  • Trains and manages student assistants
  • Maintains up-to-date inventory
  • Communicates timely and effectively, providing excellent client service and consulting expertise
  • Ability to creatively troubleshoot, identify and mitigate issues, and keep up-to-date with security trends and new technologies.
  • Other related duties and assignments as assigned
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • IT client service experience
  • IT desktop/laptop security & technical troubleshooting experience
  • Higher Education experience preferred
