Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive training in different forms of dance
  • Ability to teach a variety of dance styles and techniques
  • Strong background in performing arts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dance coach
  • Bachelor’s degree in dance, education, or related field


  • Choreograph unique routines and teach them to dance team members
  • Monitor the progress of team members and vary instruction to meet the needs of individual members
  • Supervise auditions for new team members
  • Plan, organize, and lead practice sessions
  • Assign positions or roles to team members based on strengths and potential
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to excel academically
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform dance routines at a level necessary to instruct team members
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
