Assistant/Associate Teaching Position in Theatre
Starting date: Fall 2024

Southern Virginia University seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Theatre starting in the Fall of 2024. Major responsibilities include teaching, development of curriculum, undergraduate advising, and development of theatre productions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven teaching record including evidence of effective teaching in small classes. Beyond teaching, the position requires mentorship of undergraduate students, university service, and collaboration with supportive faculty and staff. As a faculty member of the theatre program, candidates will have balanced responsibilities between teaching and annual theatre productions. Minimum of a M.A. in Theatre or related field is required, preferred candidates will hold an MFA. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
