Adjunct Teaching Position in Mathematics

Part-time

The Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Southern Virginia University seeks to hire an adjunct instructor of Mathematics starting in the Fall of 2025. The position will be an in-person, on campus position.

Responsibilities

• Possible courses to teach may include:
  • Basic Concepts of Mathematics (Math for Elementary School Teachers) I and II
  • Finite Mathematics
  • College Algebra
  • and/or other courses intended for non-majors

Minimum Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have at least a master’s degree or 18 graduate credit hours in Math or a closely related discipline.
• Teaching experience as a professor, adjunct, and/or graduate assistant with a terminal degree in Math or a related field is preferred.
