In the last forum of the semester, Southern Virginia University Provost Madison U. Sowell announced that Barbara Crawford, professor of art, is the recipient of the 2016 Michael and Kay Elton Lectureship for Outstanding Teaching and Scholarship.

Southern Virginia to Begin Construction on Knight Stadium

Southern Virginia University President Reed N. Wilcox recently announced that the university will begin construction on a new stadium at The Fields with the help of a generous donation from Glade Knight and his family.

Students Teach, Serve Through New Program at Local School

This semester marked the creation and launch of the BEST program, an initiative led by Southern Virginia University and the Buena Vista School System to create a community learning center at Enderly Heights Elementary School.
