Walk in the steps of the Prophet Joseph Smith as you explore the sites related to the Restoration. Visit the Smith Family Home, the Sacred Grove, the Palmyra Temple, Peter Whitmer Home, Grandin Building, and sites significant to Church History. Wrap up your adventure by spending a day touring Niagara Falls and the surrounding attractions.

Lodging & Food

Students will stay in a tourist-class hotel and will be provided two meals daily.

Travel Arrangements

Students will travel to and from Palmyra by Southern Virginia vans.

Program Fees

Program fees include all transportation, lodging, two meals daily, and all entrance fees for planned excursions. Students are responsible for one meal a day and any personal expenses.

There are no additional tuition fees for full-time students enrolled during the spring semester. Remember, students with 56 credit hours at Southern Virginia are eligible for a $400 voucher that can be applied towards the cost of the program!

How to Sign Up

Register for HUM 175R through MySVU. Your student account will be billed for the trip and can be paid directly through MySVU.

Itinerary

Mar. 13 Travel to from Buena Vista to Palmyra, NY.
Mar. 14-15 Visit the Palmyra temple, Sacred Grove, Smith family home, and other Church historical sites.
Mar. 16 Spend a day at Niagara Falls and other nearby sites of interest.
Mar. 17 Travel back from New York to Buena Vista.
