Richard and Nancy Marriott will host the 8th Annual Shenandoah Invitational Art Show on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairview Park Marriott Hotel in Falls Church, Va.
The art show offers paintings for sale by professional artists from around the country. A portion of the proceeds from each painting will fund scholarships at Southern Virginia University.
Nationally known artists, along with art professors and fine arts students at Southern Virginia University, will be in attendance.
“This art show is a first-class affair,” said Dr. Richard G. Whitehead, acting president of Southern Virginia University. “It attracts some of the finest artists in the world, the finest people in Washington, D.C., and helps the finest students. It’s an evening not to be missed.”
The artwork preview and pre-sale opportunity will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., with a program featuring musical performances by the Southern Virginia University Concert Chorale and guest soloists, followed by the sale of artwork at 8:30 p.m.
