Dress Code

Although participants are not set apart as missionaries they are expected to reflect the values of the Church and the spirit of Zion’s Camp at all times.

Participants of Zion’s Camp have the opportunity to not only learn how to be missionaries but also have the opportunity to dress as missionaries.

Missionary attire is required to be worn throughout the week except for designated activities. Some activities will require recreational clothing and there will be a service project that will require old clothing.

Young men should avoid tight or revealing clothing, short shorts, tank tops, excessively casual clothing, or other apparel not appropriate to missionary standards.

“Immodest clothing is any clothing that is tight, sheer, or revealing in any other manner. Young women should avoid short shorts and short skirts, shirts that do not cover the stomach, and clothing that does not cover the shoulders or is low-cut in the front or the back. Young men should also maintain modesty in their appearance.”For the Strength of Youth

A participant in violation of these standards may be dismissed from the program at the discretion of the Camp Director. Violations of the Word of Wisdom, law of chastity (including the viewing/possession of pornography), theft, or violence of any kind will result in automatic dismissal.
