Packing List

We are excited to have you join us at Zion’s Camp. This will be a wonderful journey in preparing to serve our Savior. In so doing, we strongly encourage you to bring the following to have the best chance for comfort and success.

Supplies: (Required)

  • The Standard Works (Hard Copy)
  • Personal/Gospel Study Journal
  • Preach My Gospel
  • For the strength of Youth pamphlet, Duty to God/Personal Progress Books
  • Pen or Pencil
  • Backpack
  • $20 Spending Money

Clothing: All clothes should follow For the Strength of Youth guidelines

  • Exercise clothes/athletic attire loose fitting
    • 2-3 Knee-length shorts or casual pants
    • 3 T-shirts or casual shirts
    • 3-5 pairs of workout socks
    • Comfortable tennis shoes are required for the hike
  • Underclothes for five days. Where possible pack at least two extra pairs
  • Rain jacket/poncho
  • Pajamas

Missionary Clothing for Men

  • 3-4 white shirts
  • Dress Slacks
  • Belt
  • Ties
  • Suits preferred, but not required(Dress slacks or suit pants are required)
  • Dress Shoes
  • Dress Socks (3-5 Pair)
  • Hair must be trimmed above the collar and ears must be visible. This includes no ponytails, braids, designs, carvings or complete head shaving
  • Men are expected to be clean shaven and sideburns are not to extend below the middle of the ear lobe

Missionary Standard Clothing for Women

  • 3-4 Knee length skirts
  • 3-4 Modest Blouses with sleeves
  • Hair styles should be clean and neat, avoiding extremes in styles and unnatural color

Personal Toiletry Items:

  • Toothbrush/toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Hair dryer
  • Comb/brush
  • Tissues
  • Shaving materials
  • etc.

Linens:

  • Sleeping bag or sheets/blankets for twin sized bed
  • Towels
  • Pillows/pillow case

Optional:

  • Camera
  • Sun Block
  • Bug Repellant
  • Personal medications and other general medications such as cough drops, aspirin, ibuprofen, inhalers, etc.
  • Snacks**

We strongly discourage participants from bringing cell phones, iPods, stereos, video game systems, TVs, Game Boys, or any other electronic gear. If you bring these items with you they will be locked in the administrative office for safe keeping.

** Participants will have their own kitchen to prepare the majority of the meals through the duration of the camp. Special dietary needs will not be taken into consideration.
