Marketing Faculty

Southern Virginia University invites applications for a full-time continuing-status track position in marketing to begin August 2017. The appointment may be at the assistant or associate professor level, depending on qualifications. A PhD in Marketing or related field is strongly preferred, but candidates with a Master’s in Marketing will also be considered.

Southern Virginia seeks business faculty who can teach within a rigorous curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences. Prior teaching experience, relevant professional experience, and a strong commitment to student learning are strong positives. Field of specialization is open, but ability and willingness to teach principles as well as advanced marketing courses is required. Southern Virginia emphasizes excellence in teaching, but the candidate should also be committed to scholarly research. Additional responsibilities include committee work and academic advising.

Southern Virginia University is a four-year residential liberal arts college that provides a rigorous undergraduate education primarily to faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Candidates are not required to be Latter-Day Saints, but all applicants should discuss their familiarity with and support for the University’s mission statement in the cover letter.
