Southern Virginia University is a private, four-year, residential college aligned with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its principles and values.
Our mission is to gather faithful Latter-day Saints and like-minded students, lift them in intellect, character, and spirituality, and launch them into successful lives and careers.
Led by the Chief Marketing office, the Branding & Creative Office is the creative hub and engine of the University. As a unified and motivated team, we work collaboratively to elevate the University’s brand and communicate its value with every touchpoint. Our efforts overlap with and enhance the work of various offices across campus to attract, recruit, and retain students, and to raise funds.
First and foremost, the Branding & Creative Office is a team. We believe in collaboration and honest feedback, and in being kind and respectful to one another while providing excellent customer service to the departments we work with across the University. We foster a work environment in which we openly assess, critique, discuss, and revise projects and ideas with courtesy and diplomacy.
Creative team members are expected to have exceptional self-motivation and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects autonomously and simultaneously to meet strict deadlines. This includes the ability to move initial concepts from brainstorming stages to completion with minimal supervision. We also love to have fun and enjoy a well-timed joke or TV quote.
