Kenson Hiatt is a Student Support Counselor, Coordinator of Accessibility Services, and an Adjunct Instructor of Psychology at Southern Virginia. He is also an Associate Director of Zion’s Camp, an intensive summer camp held at Southern Virginia which is designed to help youth prepare for missionary service.
Kenson graduated from Southern Virginia in 2012 with a B.A. in Business Management & Leadership. He graduated from Liberty University in 2016 with an M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy. Kenson is working to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and currently holds the Resident in Counseling designation. He is a proud Knight and a believer in Southern Virginia’s model of education. He loves people and wants to help them through challenges, including personal struggles and social fairness causes. He is also a passionate learner and an enthusiast of the arts.
Kenson is married to Ashley Hiatt, who works in Admissions at Southern Virginia. They live in Buena Vista with their daughters Naomi (a.k.a. “Tootsie”) and Jane (a.k.a. “Squirt”). Kenson and Ashley love Southern Virginia and look forward to having their children attend Southern Virginia in the future.
