Karen Marie Walker is the vice president of educational research and development, associate provost, and an assistant professor in the family and child development program atSouthern Virginia University.
Walker graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1972 and earned her doctorate from Walden University in human services in 1977. Walker developed the academic success program at Southern Virginia and authored The Deep Learning Academic Success Handbook.
She and her husband, Michael, have four married children and thirteen grandchildren.
