Christina B. Himes is a Special Projects Facilitator at Southern Virginia University.
Himes’s primary focus is helping students share their gratitude and a slice of their Southern Virginia experience with university donors. After joining Southern Virginia in 2006 she worked as special assistant for marketing to President Rod Smith and as a marketing specialist in the communications office.
Before moving to Virginia, Himes taught business courses at Drury University, worked in brand management and freelanced as a marketing researcher for medical groups.
She and her husband, Doug, who heads up Southern Virginia’s Art + Design Institute, are the parents of seven children, three of whom are Southern Virginia graduates. Himes delights in seeing students change and grow at Southern Virginia. She loves homeschooling, learning with Southern Virginia’s Travel Study Program and singing in choirs.
