Adjunct Professor of Business
Mark Matheson is an adjunct professor at Southern Virginia University. He also teaches classes at the Buena Vista Institute of Religion.
Matheson received a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix, a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah. In 2010, Matheson taught at BYU-Hawaii.
For more than fifteen years, Matheson has owned a successful stock investment business and is a chartered financial analyst. Prior to setting up his own investment office, he was a partner and senior research analyst with Crowell, Weedon & Co. in Los Angeles. Formerly, he was director of research at Cruttenden & Co. in Irvine, Calif. He also was senior vice-president of corporate development for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and an analyst with Capital Research and Management. Matheson was the founder and president of Greater Salt Lake Tours, Inc.
He also was a teaching fellow at Harvard University and has guest lectured at a dozen universities, including USC and UCLA.
