TORN-ADO: Barbara Crawford Art Installation Opens Mar. 21 at Southern Virginia University

Beginning Mar. 21, Professor Barbara Crawford and a team of contributing artists will open a stunning art installation entitled TORN-ADO in the Stoddard Center at Southern Virginia University. This first installation of TORN-ADO will be open for two weeks before moving to the Museum Gallery of Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, W.Va., for a second installation starting May 5.


Phi Sigma Tau Chapter Installed at Southern Virginia University

On December 9, 2016, a group of 12 Southern Virginia University students and two philosophy faculty members, Dr. John Armstrong and Dr. Jan-Erik Jones, became the charter members of the Virginia Xi chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy.

Southern Virginia University Holds Honorary Veterans Day Luncheon on Nov. 10

Southern Virginia University held an honorary Veteran’s Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 10 for more than 130 veterans from the surrounding area who were honored by guest speaker CW4 Hugh Bouchelle, special musical performances, and a meal provided by the university students and local food services.
