Faculty Member Serves Community Through Christmas Baskets Program

On a Saturday morning in December each year, hundreds of community members including Southern Virginia University students, faculty and staff gather in the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va., to help a local charitable organization—Rockbridge Christmas Baskets—provide both presents and Christmas dinner for families in need.

Former Area Authority to Speak at Devotional Nov. 30

Southern Virginia Presents All New Musical: ‘Little Women’

Southern Virginia University Professor Robert Stoddard wrote the score and co-wrote the script for a new musical adaptation of “Little Women,” which will take the stage on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, and the following Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Dec. 5-7, at 7:30 p.m. in Chandler Hall.
