New Professorship, Faculty Promotions

“The Wizard of Oz” As You’ve Never Seen It, Sept. 9-10, 15-17

A humorous twist on a beloved film classic, “The Wizard of Oz,” is adapted for the stage and will premier at Southern Virginia University on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9 and 10, and the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-17, at 7:30 p.m. in Chandler Hall.

Record Enrollment Exceeds 800 Students

As fall semester classes begin this week, the Southern Virginia University campus is home to more students than ever before. This year, total student enrollment at the university has reached an all-time record of more than 800 students.
